The other half of the basic program around here. Horses need to be able to eat just minerals when they need minerals and just salt when they want salt. Most mineral mixes contain 25% to 90% salt which means that horses cannot eat enough minerals due to salty taste. Some horses will eat up to 25 lbs of the Rush Creek in the first month. I feed all they all they want for 2 months, then if they are still eating a lot, I will ration the amount to a handful per day.
6.5 lbs is $31
25 lbs is $67
