This product is a true probiotic, meaning it contains good bacteria (flora) to repopulate the gut after antibiotics, stress or poor nutrition has damaged the flora. The bacteria are specific for the horse, not the human. Most products contain the same bacteria (lactobacillus acidophilus) used in human nutrition, yet the horse has a totally different gut.
